Pics from last weekend

We had a blast last weekend just doing lots of things in and around the area. On Friday we went to the Children's Museum in Dallas and then on Saturday we went to Trade Days in McKinney. It was fun just poking around town and getting to see things we haven't seen before.

Here are a few of Hope playing at the Children's Museum. They have the coolest play-room for babies.

Hope's Dedication

On Mother's Day morning we dedicated our sweet Hope at church. *sniff sniff* It was so surreal to be standing there with my little baby dedicating her to the Lord. I had dreamed of it for almost 3 years. I cannot express how grateful and how in awe I am that God has blessed us with such a sweet, beautiful baby girl. Yes, we've had many trying times so far (and I know there will be many more to come), but it is all worth it. She is a daily reminder that our hope comes from the Lord, that He alone is our salvation and our provider. We love you, Lord. Thank you for making me a mother.

P.S. Sorry the pics are blurry. I've said it before and I'll say it again. We need a new camera!!!

In other news...

Hope is almost 11 months and she has officially had her first bout with illness. A couple of weekends ago Hope came down with Hand, Foot, Mouth disease. It is a rash accompanied by a fever. She had a red rash all over her body and then pimply spots on her hands and feet. She also had sores in her mouth. Poor baby! She was so sick! For three days straight she did not want to do anything but sleep and sit with me. Since it is a virus, we could not do anything for her except alternate the tylenol and motrin and make sure she was drinking. We are glad she is over it and feel very blessed. Save a sniffly nose here and there she has not been sick at all until now, so we thank the Lord for that.

We have had a lot of visitors lately. Janelle and Collin came a couple of weekends ago and then Gary and Krissy came last weekend. We have been having so much fun! On Friday Seth, Becca and Ethan came over and we all ate hamburgers and hot dogs and just had a fun time catching up with one another. My mom will be coming this weekend, so we are looking forward to that. Here are some pics from this past weekend...
