Back In the Game!

I know, I know, we really need to post more. I don't know if any of you will even read this since it's been so long since we posted. You may have given up on us. Things are just busy as usual. I know, excuses, excuses. We always think that once the holidays are over things will slow down, but they never really do.

Stephen and I got to celebrate our birthdays not long ago. Stephen spent much of the day and weekend spoiling me for my birthday. We got to go out to eat at the Melting Pot. If any of you haven't visited that place, it's worth going to. It's a fondue restaurant, so you cook all your food in a pot they put in the middle of your table. It's kind of pricey, but a lot of fun. Stephen's parents came in for Stephen's birthday and their anniversary. They stayed at a bed and breakfast near our house, and we had a blast with them. We ate at Posado's, our favorite Mexican food restaurant, we went shopping, and, of course, played some dominos. It was a lot of fun. We are so blessed to have amazing parents (in-laws)! We, of course, didn't get any pictures with them, so sorry that we don't have any to post. We'll have to remember to take some next time!

Last weekend our friends from college, Seth and Becca, came up to see us and brought their little boy, Ethan. He's just a few weeks older than Hope, and they always have so much fun together. We spent time visiting with them, then we went out to eat at Posado's again. It was great! We love them to death and wish we could see them more.

We went to the mall the other day and there was a carnival in the parking lot. Hope got to ride one of the cars around on this merry-go-round thing. It was kind of cold outside, and I'm not sure that she enjoyed it very much. She did scream when we tried to leave. Inside the mall they had an expo and she got to jump in one of those moon walk things. She definitely loved that, and again screamed when we took her out.

Not much else is going on here. Hope is now 20 months old and is into everything! She gets cuter everyday. She's learning new words all the time and sees and understands so much more than we know. We are so blessed to have her. Stephen is busy with work and is getting a headstart on VBS and Easter. He's had to take on some responsibilities in the Children's Ministry at our church since we lost our Children's Minister a few months ago. He still loves his job. Right now I'm looking into an internship at one of the news stations in Sherman. I'm going to have to do something like that sometime in the next couple of years, so please pray that if this is the right time, God will open doors. That's about all we know. We hope you are all doing well!
